NISS 1994 Highlight Reel

For those of you who couldn't make it to the NISS Reunion Party, we presented a 1994 highlight reel that sums up year one of our sport. Thanks to TJ Webber, B-Love and Tom Hyser for their hard work.

Also congratulations to the Edwards family for their new edition Jewel Edwards who was born with rollerblades on her feet - it's a miracle!

1994 two childhood friends Rick Stark and Mark Billik who knew little about rollerblading but lots about promoting. Came up with an idea. Let's find the best skaters on the planet and have them compete for a national title. They pitched Taco Bell the idea and Taco Bell said yes.

With a check for $150,000 in their hand they found Aaron Spohn who built the sickest street course and portable half pipe ever seen. Without social media or even cell phones that fit in your pocket over 300 skaters from Japan to NY showed up to Long Beach Ca. NISS and competitive rollerblading would never be the same.

Come celebrate the birth of a sport!
